Welcome from the Headmistress

Thank you for your interest in Hopelands Preparatory School.

We are a small and happy school with an excellent academic record. We are proud of our reputation as a friendly, nurturing and traditional school.

Our pupils enjoy a challenging and happy environment and this serves them well for their progression onto the next stage in their education. Our pupils frequently win places in the independent sector, often with exhibitions and scholarships, and in the excellent local grammar schools.

We take the time to make sure each child is welcomed, engaged and enthused. All our children, whether they are naturally high achievers or in need of some extra assistance, are given individual attention, a peaceful learning environment and sound preparation for secondary school.

We focus on building confidence in our pupils as our belief is that a happy, confident child can achieve anything.

Hopelands children enjoy a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our objective is to help children thrive and to give each child the opportunity and encouragement to reach their full potential.

We take great delight in the achievements of all our pupils, whether their success is in the academic arena or representing the school in athletic events.  As a non-selective school, we look for the potential in each child and delight in helping them on their future path.

We look forward to welcoming you to Hopelands.
