Field trips

Our children love attending the many field trips we organise for them. This year we have been on the following field trips:

Westonbirt Arboretum - Friday 5 November 2010

Though it was very wet and muddy at Westonbirt it didn’t dampen Fox Cubs' spirit - it just gave us more puddles to jump in! We started the day with sculpting ‘The Green Man of the Forest’ using clay and natural materials. Can you spot which one is yours? This was then followed by den making in the woods. The children worked together to make houses and a cafe for Mrs Prout to have her lunch in! The children made sure it had a table and chairs and even swept the floor. Lots of childr en were on hand to take her order – ‘It was the best cafe I have ever visited’ said Mr Prout, ‘I will come again.’ This was followed by a walk around the Old Aboretum, finishing with a well earned lunch. After lunch the children visited the shop to purchase a gift. It was very difficult deciding!

Gate of India Restaurant - Wednesday 9 February 2011
