Chair of Governors
Richard James |
Richard has been Chair of Governors at Hopelands Preparatory School since October 2006. Prior to joining the school, Richard worked as CEO and General Manager of the NHS for 27 years and, more recently, Foundation Secretary to 3 large independent schools in Warwick for 3 years. Richard lives locally with his wife and has four grown up children. He is also the Chair of Governors to a local large State grammar school in Gloucester.

Vice Chair of Governors
Nick Dyer | Nick is currently Deputy Headmaster at The Crypt School, an 11-18 Grammar School in Gloucester. Prior to this appointment he was Director of Sixth Form at Bishop Wordsworth’s Grammar School in Salisbury. He has an in-depth knowledge of curricular issues and the leadership and management of schools. Nick grew up and was educated in Bristol, reading History at the University of Nottingham.

Philip Luckett | Currently chairman of a private limited company manufacturing consumer products, Philip's skills lie in finance and marketing. Philip is also the non executive chairman of the British Footwear Association. His granddaughter attended Hopelands from age 4 to 11, leaving in July 2010.

Alan Gould I Alan works as a systems developer for the telecommunications industry. Alan currently works with the scouts as their child protection officer and has also taken up this role in school to support the designated and deputy child protection officers.

Maria Boix | Maria has a scientific background and has been involved with the school since 2007. She has three children at Hopelands.. Maria is involved with Friends of Hopelands and she aims to represent the views of parents within the governing body of the school.
